6membershipA 6clement Joshua service™Legal & Trust CenterMembership Terms and Conditions
Detailed terms governing applications, membership relationships, payment review, benefits, conduct, verification and status.
Understanding this document
These Membership Terms and Conditions govern applications for, access to, use of and participation in the 6membership service.
6membership is a structured membership service operated by 6clement Joshua under the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, with mandatory local consumer, privacy and other legal rights preserved where they apply.
These Terms form part of the agreement between the applicant or member and 6membership. Other policies referenced in these Terms also apply according to their subject matter.
Submitting an application, paying a membership fee, receiving an Application Reference, receiving approval or using a membership card does not create rights beyond those expressly stated in the approved membership tier, these Terms and any separate written agreement signed by an authorised representative.
Except for the private 6clement Joshua consideration process, an applicant may be required to pay before review. Payment allows the application to enter the applicable review process. It does not guarantee approval, access to a person, funding, sponsorship, investment, invitations, travel, accommodation, benefits or any particular outcome.
Who these Terms apply to
Visitors viewing or comparing 6membership tiers.
Individuals submitting an application.
Parents or guardians acting for a permitted younger applicant.
Primary representatives applying for a household, business, organisation or other approved entity.
Approved members and associated household or entity members.
Persons using or presenting a 6membership card, certificate or Membership ID.
Persons communicating with 6membership about an application, payment, appeal, verification or membership relationship.
Definitions and interpretation
Important words used throughout these Terms and the wider policy framework.
Key terms
In these Terms, “6membership”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the 6membership service operated by 6clement Joshua.
“Applicant” means a person, household representative, business representative, organisation representative or other permitted party submitting an application.
“Member” means an applicant whose application has been approved and whose membership status is valid for the relevant purpose.
“Application Reference” means the unique reference generated for an application. After approval, the same reference may become the permanent Membership ID.
“Membership ID” means the unique identifier associated with an approved membership.
“Tier” means Starter, Family, Silver, Black, Platinum, Elite or 6clement Joshua membership.
“Benefit” means an opportunity, access level, priority, consideration, invitation, communication route or other feature expressly associated with an approved tier.
“Official communication” means a message sent through a verified 6membership website, email address, application interface or authorised representative.
An application reference proves that an application record exists. It does not prove that the applicant has already been approved.
How these Terms are interpreted
Headings, summaries, examples and plain-language panels are provided to help understanding. They do not remove or replace the formal clauses.
Words such as “including” and “for example” introduce examples and do not limit a clause to those examples.
A reference to a law includes amendments, replacements, regulations and binding guidance that apply to the relevant activity.
Where a mandatory law grants a right that cannot lawfully be excluded, that right is preserved even when these Terms contain a more general limitation.
The wider policy framework
These Terms must be read together with the policies that apply to the relevant activity.
Where two documents address different subjects, both apply. Where there is a genuine conflict, mandatory law applies first, followed by any specific written membership schedule, then the policy dealing most directly with the subject, and then these general Terms.
Nature of the 6membership service
What membership establishes and what it does not represent.
Structured recognition
6membership provides a structured method for eligible persons and approved entities to apply for a recognised relationship within the 6clement Joshua network and affiliated organisations.
The nature and extent of that relationship depend on the approved tier, current membership status, geographic coverage, applicable programme rules and any specific written invitation.
Membership may provide an authorised communication route, eligibility for selected opportunities and a method for verifying the membership relationship.
No unrestricted personal or executive access
Membership does not give unrestricted access to 6clement Joshua, employees, executives, partners, investors, family members, private locations, confidential systems or affiliated organisations.
Communication access may be controlled, prioritised, scheduled, screened, limited to approved subjects or suspended for security, operational or conduct reasons.
A member may not demand a meeting, response, private contact, visit, funding, gift, hosting, sponsorship, accommodation, transportation or event admission unless the applicable tier and a specific approval expressly provide it.
An Elite member may be permitted to request an executive meeting. That means the request may be submitted for consideration; it does not mean the meeting must be granted.
Not a bank, investment or money-transfer service
6membership is not a bank, savings account, payment wallet, money-transfer service, deposit-taking institution, collective investment scheme, security, shareholding programme or guaranteed-return product.
Membership fees are payments for the applicable application and membership arrangement. They cannot be deposited for later withdrawal, transferred between members or used to conceal the source, destination or ownership of money.
Membership alone does not create equity, ownership, profit-sharing, voting rights, board membership, employment, partnership, agency, fiduciary status or investment rights.
A membership fee cannot be paid into 6membership and later withdrawn as though 6membership were a bank or wallet.
Eligibility and authority to apply
Who may apply and what authority an applicant must possess.
General eligibility
An applicant must satisfy the eligibility requirements displayed for the selected tier and provide complete, accurate and current information.
6membership may make a tier available to individuals, approved households, businesses, organisations, public figures, investors, strategic partners or other recognised applicant categories.
Availability in a country or territory does not guarantee that every feature, event, programme, payment method or benefit is available there.
Age and guardian involvement
A person must not submit an application independently where applicable law or the selected tier requires a parent, guardian or other legally authorised representative.
Applicants under 13 are not permitted to apply directly.
Where an applicant aged 13 to 17 is permitted to participate, verified parent or guardian involvement may be required before the application can proceed.
6membership may request evidence of age, guardianship, parental responsibility or authority to act.
Household and entity representatives
A person applying for a family, household, business, organisation or other entity must have authority to provide the submitted information and act for the represented party.
The primary representative remains responsible for official communication, renewal, updates and compliance unless 6membership approves a replacement.
Benefits granted to a household or entity apply to the approved unit and are not automatically multiplied into separate individual claims for every associated person.
Required preceding memberships
Starter, Family and Silver may be applied for directly, subject to their own requirements.
Black requires an active and verified Silver membership.
Platinum requires an active and verified Black membership.
Elite requires an active and verified Platinum membership.
A private 6clement Joshua consideration request requires an active and verified Elite membership unless an authorised written invitation expressly provides another route.
A required preceding membership must normally match the same person, entity or approved primary representative.
An expired, suspended, revoked, mismatched, fraudulent or unverifiable Membership ID may block the higher-tier application.
Application process
How applications are created, submitted, checked and reviewed.
Information required
The application may request identity, contact, age, location, eligibility, household, organisation, payment and compliance information relevant to the selected tier.
A clear, recent and recognisable applicant photograph is required unless 6membership expressly provides another approved process.
Depending on the tier, payment value, applicant category or identified risk, 6membership may request identity documents, proof of address, company records, beneficial-owner details, authority documents or source-of-funds evidence.
Accuracy and continuing duty to update
An applicant must not provide false, misleading, incomplete, impersonated, stolen, altered or unlawfully obtained information.
The applicant must review the application before submission and promptly correct material errors through an authorised channel.
Information that changes during review, including contact details, representative authority, payment ownership or eligibility status, must be disclosed promptly.
Application Reference
A unique Application Reference is generated for each validly created application record.
The reference may be used to locate or discuss the application through an authorised verification process.
The reference is not proof of approval and must not be presented publicly as an active Membership ID before approval.
After approval, the same reference may become the permanent Membership ID.
Duplicate and coordinated applications
6membership may identify, combine, pause or reject duplicate applications concerning the same person, household, entity, representative, payment instrument or materially identical relationship.
Creating multiple applications to avoid a restriction, payment review, denial, predecessor requirement or identity check is prohibited.
No obligation to approve
Submitting a complete application does not require 6membership to approve it.
6membership may consider eligibility, capacity, identity, payment verification, safety, conduct, reputational risk, compliance risk, programme availability and the integrity of the requested relationship.
A lawful decision may be based on information supplied by the applicant, verification results, payment-provider records, previous membership conduct or other relevant evidence.
Membership tiers and coverage
How tier descriptions, geographic coverage and priority work.
Published tier description
The current published benefits page for a tier forms part of the applicant’s pre-application information.
A tier description must be read with these Terms, the applicant’s approval notice, membership status and any programme-specific rules.
Benefits may differ according to location, timing, programme capacity, invitation status, security restrictions and the nature of an affiliated organisation’s participation.
Geographic coverage
Starter and Family ordinarily operate within one approved state or comparable local jurisdiction.
Silver ordinarily provides approved regional coverage across multiple states, provinces or territories within one defined region, but not automatic nationwide coverage.
Black ordinarily provides nationwide coverage within the approved country.
Platinum and Elite may provide international consideration where relevant programmes are officially available.
The 6clement Joshua tier concerns a private global relationship class, subject to invitation, due diligence, separate documentation and applicable restrictions.
Priority is relative, not absolute
A higher tier may receive greater priority than a lower tier for an eligible opportunity.
Priority does not guarantee selection, approval, admission, immediate response, funding or unlimited capacity.
Safety, legal requirements, programme purpose, available resources and specific selection criteria may take priority over tier ranking.
A Platinum member may receive stronger consideration than a Black member for an eligible international event. The event may still have limited capacity or separate entry requirements.
Membership is not freely transferable
A membership belongs to the approved holder, household or entity and cannot be sold, rented, assigned, pledged or transferred without written approval.
A change of primary representative, legal entity, controlling ownership or household structure may require a new review.
Fees, taxes and payment verification
The relationship between payment, review and membership activation.
Payment before review
Unless the selected process expressly states otherwise, the applicable membership fee must be successfully paid and independently verified before the application enters substantive review.
The private 6clement Joshua consideration request does not require payment at the initial consideration stage. Payment or other value may apply only after invitation, approval, due diligence and formal onboarding instructions.
Independent payment verification
Flutterwave is the selected production payment integration for 6membership unless an authorised replacement is formally adopted and disclosed.
A browser redirect, screenshot, bank alert, applicant statement, checkout page or webhook payload alone does not prove that payment has been completed.
Before treating a transaction as successful or granting application review, membership activation or another paid value, 6membership must verify the transaction through an authorised server-side Flutterwave verification process and match the final status, expected amount, currency, provider transaction identifier and unique 6membership transaction or Application Reference.
Flutterwave webhook events must be authenticated before use, and repeated webhooks, redirects or verification responses must be processed idempotently so that the same transaction cannot create duplicate applications, memberships, receipts or refunds.
An application may remain payment-pending while Flutterwave verification, settlement, fraud review or another required financial check is incomplete.
Payment instrument ownership
The applicant must be authorised to use the payment instrument and must provide accurate payer information.
Where the payer differs from the applicant or primary representative, 6membership may request an explanation and evidence of authority.
Payments linked to suspected fraud, coercion, unauthorised card use, stolen funds, sanctioned activity or unexplained third parties may be paused, rejected or reported as permitted or required by law.
Displayed pricing and taxes
Published consumer prices will state whether applicable taxes are included.
Where a law requires an additional tax, levy, withholding or currency conversion outside the published price, the applicant will be informed where reasonably possible before completing payment.
Payment providers, banks or card issuers may impose separate charges that are not controlled by 6membership.
One-time payment option
A one-time payment option means one upfront payment for the extended membership arrangement expressly described in the checkout summary or applicable membership schedule.
A one-time option is not automatically perpetual, immortal, irrevocable or exempt from conduct, verification, security, legal and status requirements.
The precise duration, continuity rules and any renewal or re-verification requirements must be displayed before payment and will govern that purchase.
The final one-time duration schedule must be confirmed and displayed before this policy is published or one-time payments are accepted.
Detailed payment rules
Refund eligibility, chargebacks, failed payments, renewals, expiry and restoration are governed by the dedicated payment policy.
Review and decision process
Possible application statuses and what each decision means.
Application statuses
An application and its related financial record may be recorded as draft, payment pending, payment confirmed, submitted, incomplete, under review, more information required, approved, denied, cancelled, refund internally approved, refund submitted, refund processing, refunded or refund failed.
A displayed status is an administrative record and may be corrected where an error, duplicate event, Flutterwave reversal, authenticated provider update, chargeback, refund failure or security issue is identified.
Only an authorised and verified backend event may move a payment or refund into a provider-confirmed state.
Requests for more information
6membership may request additional information where the application cannot be fairly or safely decided using the existing record.
The request may concern identity, photographs, eligibility, predecessor membership, household relationships, authority, payment ownership, source of funds or another relevant issue.
Failure to respond within the stated period may result in delay, cancellation or a decision based on the available information.
Review timing
Any estimated review period is an operational estimate, not a guaranteed deadline, unless applicable law requires a specific period.
Review may take longer because of incomplete records, high application volume, payment-provider delays, identity checks, high-value transaction review, compliance investigations, public holidays, authority requests or circumstances outside reasonable control.
A longer review does not by itself mean that the applicant is suspected of wrongdoing.
Approval
Approval becomes effective only when 6membership issues an official approval notice and the membership record satisfies any stated activation conditions.
Approval may identify the holder, tier, billing period, coverage, start date, expiry date, conditions and current Membership ID.
A card image, certificate or informal message that cannot be verified through an authorised source does not override the official database record.
Denial
An application may be denied where eligibility is not established, information is unreliable, payment cannot be verified, a predecessor requirement is not met, requested information is not provided or the relationship would create unacceptable legal, safety, compliance, operational or integrity risk.
Where appropriate and legally permitted, the decision notice may provide a general reason without disclosing confidential fraud controls, third-party information, security methods or restricted investigation details.
A denial does not authorise harassment, threats, impersonation, repeated evasion attempts or publication of another person’s private information.
Eligible denial refunds
Where the published payment policy provides a full refund following denial, the refund remains subject to verified payment ownership, fraud checks, the original payment method, Flutterwave acceptance and applicable legal restrictions.
An internal administrator may approve a refund, but 6membership will not describe the refund as submitted or initiated until Flutterwave has accepted the refund request.
A refund must not be described as completed merely because Flutterwave accepted or began processing it; completion must reflect the latest verified provider status.
An eligible refund may require additional time where a transaction is under provider review, fraud investigation, chargeback review, sanctions review, settlement restriction or lawful hold.
Membership duration, renewal and expiry
When membership begins, how long it continues and what happens at expiry.
Start date
Membership ordinarily begins on the start date recorded in the official membership record, not necessarily the payment date or application date.
A delayed activation may occur where approval conditions, payment settlement, identity checks or onboarding steps remain outstanding.
Monthly and yearly periods
A monthly membership ordinarily runs for one month from the recorded start date.
A yearly membership ordinarily runs for 12 months from the recorded start date.
The exact expiry timestamp shown in the official membership record controls where calendar differences or time zones create uncertainty.
Renewal
Membership does not automatically renew unless the applicant expressly selects and lawfully authorises an automatic-renewal arrangement.
Where no automatic renewal applies, the member is responsible for monitoring expiry and completing renewal.
A renewal is not complete until payment is verified and the membership record is updated.
6membership may require re-verification, updated information or a fresh review before renewing a restricted, expired, high-risk or materially changed membership.
Expiry reminders
6membership intends to send an expiry reminder approximately six days before expiry and an expiry notice on or around the expiry date.
A failed, delayed or filtered email does not extend the membership where the official record shows that it has expired.
Effect of expiry
When membership expires, active membership privileges stop unless a mandatory law or express written grace period provides otherwise.
The historical record and Membership ID may remain retained for verification, accounting, fraud prevention, legal obligations and potential renewal.
Renewal may restore active status after confirmed payment and any required review.
Benefits, opportunities and invitations
How membership opportunities are interpreted and limited.
Availability and capacity
Benefits are subject to applicable tier rules, availability, capacity, location, programme purpose, eligibility criteria, safety requirements and specific invitation terms.
6membership may not control the availability, venue, timing, licensing, security, travel rules or independent decisions of third-party organisers.
Support, sponsorship and proposal requests
Where a tier permits a member to submit a support, sponsorship, empowerment, investment, collaboration, hosting or business proposal, the member receives a controlled route for consideration.
Permission to submit a request does not create a duty to approve, fund, negotiate, endorse or respond within a particular period.
A proposal must be lawful, respectful, accurately described and free from deceptive urgency, bribery, threats or hidden conflicts.
Event admission
Complimentary or priority admission applies only where the applicable tier and the specific event recognise that benefit.
VIP, VVIP and MVIP labels depend on the event’s own category structure.
Admission does not automatically include guests, companions, travel, visas, insurance, accommodation, meals, airport transfers, private access or merchandise unless expressly stated.
Travel, accommodation and hosting
A member must not assume that self-initiated travel will be reimbursed.
Where an official invitation provides travel, accommodation, feeding or transportation, only the items and limits stated in that invitation are covered.
The member remains responsible for passports, visas, immigration compliance, health requirements, lawful conduct and any expense not expressly approved.
Programme changes
A particular event, promotion or opportunity may be modified, postponed or cancelled because of safety, law, capacity, funding, venue conditions, force majeure or third-party decisions.
Where a material paid membership feature changes, 6membership will apply the relevant consumer-rights and policy-update rules.
Member responsibilities and prohibited conduct
Standards that protect applicants, members, staff and the integrity of the service.
Respectful and lawful conduct
Applicants and members must communicate lawfully, respectfully and honestly.
Harassment, hate, discrimination, threats, stalking, intimidation, exploitation, coercion, sexual misconduct and deliberate humiliation are prohibited.
Fraud and impersonation
A person must not create, sell, modify or use a fake application reference, Membership ID, card, certificate, email, website, social account or approval notice.
A person must not claim to recruit members, collect membership payments or represent 6membership without written authorisation.
A member must not lend credentials or allow another person to impersonate the approved holder.
Abuse of benefits
A member must not resell, auction, trade, duplicate or commercially exploit an invitation, priority right or membership benefit unless expressly authorised.
A member must not use status to pressure staff, event organisers, other members or third parties into granting an unapproved benefit.
Security interference
Unauthorised access, scraping, automated probing, malware, credential theft, denial-of-service activity, database manipulation and attempts to bypass verification controls are prohibited.
Good-faith security concerns should be reported through the authorised security channel rather than exploited or publicly disclosed in a manner that creates avoidable harm.
Cards, certificates and public verification
Rules governing proof of membership and official status records.
Official database status
The current official membership record controls whether a Membership ID is pending, active, expiring soon, expired, suspended, restricted, reported stolen, invalid, revoked or cancelled.
A saved image or printed card may become outdated and does not override the current verification result.
Public verification
6membership may provide a limited public verification result to help third parties confirm whether a presented Membership ID is recognised.
Public verification should reveal only information reasonably necessary for verification, such as approved name, tier, status, coverage, issue or expiry information and last update.
Private application answers, date of birth, residential address, email, identity documents and payment records will not be displayed publicly merely because verification is requested.
Lost, stolen or compromised cards
A member must promptly report a lost, stolen, copied or compromised card or credential.
6membership may mark the card as reported stolen, invalidate the current version and issue a replacement after verification.
No alteration
A member must not alter the photograph, name, tier, status, dates, verification code, design or other information on an official card or certificate.
Relationship, authority and representation
Membership recognition does not create unauthorised company powers.
No agency or authority
A member is not an employee, agent, director, officer, spokesperson, legal representative or authorised negotiator of 6membership, 6clement Joshua or an affiliated organisation merely because membership is approved.
A member must not sign agreements, make promises, collect money, issue statements, recruit, advertise or incur obligations in the name of the service without separate written authority.
No automatic ownership or investment rights
Membership does not automatically create shares, equity, partnership, profit participation, intellectual-property ownership, voting rights, board appointment or decision-making authority.
Any such legal relationship requires a separate written agreement executed by properly authorised parties.
Private 6clement Joshua relationship class
The 6clement Joshua tier is a private relationship class for invited or privately considered Elite members, investors, strategic partners and significant business relationships.
The process may include direct contact, due diligence, confidentiality requirements, legal documentation and separate commercial agreements.
Even within this class, final company decisions remain with the chief executive, board or other authorised leadership unless a separate binding agreement expressly states otherwise.
Electronic communications and notices
How application, payment, policy and membership notices are delivered.
Electronic delivery
Applicants and members may receive application confirmations, payment notices, verification codes, requests for information, decisions, membership records, policy notices, renewal reminders and security communications electronically.
Electronic delivery may occur through email, the website, a membership portal or another authorised channel.
Keeping contact details current
The applicant or member is responsible for maintaining an accessible and accurate registered email address and other required contact details.
A notice sent to the registered address may be treated as sent even where delivery is affected by spam filtering, storage limits, an abandoned address or an incorrect address supplied by the recipient, subject to applicable law.
Checking official communications
Applicants and members should verify unexpected payment, identity, password or confidential-information requests through an official channel.
6membership will not ask a recipient to send a password, complete payment to an unrelated personal account or disclose an email OTP to an unauthorised person.
Personal information, photographs and records
The relationship between membership administration and data protection.
Information processing
6membership processes information for application administration, identity verification, payment confirmation, membership management, security, fraud prevention, communication, legal compliance and dispute handling.
The applicable lawful basis, categories of information, recipients, retention and rights are explained in the Privacy and Data Protection Notice.
Applicant photograph
The required applicant photograph may be used to identify the applicant, support review, generate an approved membership card and prevent impersonation.
The photograph will not be treated as permission for advertising, public promotion or unrelated facial-recognition processing.
Separate permission or another valid legal basis is required before using the photograph for an unrelated promotional purpose.
Service providers
6membership may use vetted providers for hosting, database infrastructure, storage, email delivery, payments, fraud prevention, analytics or other operational functions.
Flutterwave is the selected production payment integration. Its role, the information it may process and its independent responsibilities are described in the Third-Party Service Providers List.
The roles and relevant processing purposes of all material providers will be identified in that List.
Restrictions, suspension, revocation and cancellation
How 6membership may protect the service and respond to serious issues.
Restriction
A membership may be restricted while remaining identifiable in the system.
A restriction may limit communication, event access, payment activity, verification display, card use or another affected feature.
Restrictions may be used while information is corrected, a complaint is reviewed or a security concern is investigated.
Suspension
6membership may temporarily suspend membership where there is a credible concern involving identity, payment, safety, misconduct, unauthorised representation, legal restrictions or serious breach of policy.
Where lawful and reasonably possible, the member will be informed of the general nature of the suspension and any available response process.
Revocation or invalidation
Membership may be revoked or declared invalid where approval was obtained through fraud, impersonation, material concealment, stolen payment information, falsified documents, prohibited transfer or another serious violation.
Revocation may also occur where continued recognition would be unlawful or create unacceptable safety or integrity risk.
Member-requested cancellation
A member may request cancellation through an authorised channel and after appropriate identity verification.
Cancellation does not automatically create a refund right or erase records that must be retained for payment, fraud-prevention, legal or audit purposes.
Urgent protective action
6membership may take immediate proportionate action without advance notice where reasonably necessary to protect a person, preserve evidence, prevent fraud, comply with law or contain a security incident.
Complaints, corrections and appeals
How applicants and members may challenge errors or decisions.
Correction requests
An applicant or member may request correction of inaccurate personal information, an incorrect status or another administrative error.
Identity verification and supporting evidence may be required before a record is changed.
Application and status appeals
Where an appeal is available, the applicant or member must submit it through the stated channel within the applicable period.
An appeal should identify the challenged decision, explain the alleged error and provide relevant supporting information.
An appeal does not automatically restore active status or pause a lawful protective restriction.
External rights preserved
Nothing in the internal complaints process removes a right to contact a regulator, consumer-protection authority, data-protection authority, court or other body where applicable law permits it.
Brand and intellectual property
Protection of the service, card design, content and official identity.
Protected materials
The 6membership name, logos, card and certificate designs, website interface, policy presentation, graphics, text, databases, verification format and related brand elements are protected to the extent provided by applicable law.
Limited personal use
An approved member may display an authentic membership card or certificate for legitimate personal verification.
This limited permission does not authorise reproduction, modification, resale, sublicensing, merchandise production, misleading advertising or creation of a competing verification product.
Applicant and member materials
The applicant retains ownership of original material submitted with an application, subject to third-party rights.
The applicant grants 6membership the limited permission reasonably necessary to store, review, verify, reproduce for internal records and use the material to administer the application and membership.
Promotional use outside those purposes requires separate permission or another valid legal basis.
Responsibility, limitations and uncontrollable events
Balanced allocation of responsibility without removing mandatory rights.
Reasonable care
6membership will use reasonable organisational and technical measures appropriate to the nature of the service.
No online system, email service, payment network, verification process or third-party platform can be guaranteed to operate without interruption, delay or security risk.
Applicant and member responsibility
The applicant or member is responsible for losses reasonably caused by their deliberate fraud, unlawful conduct, unauthorised sharing of credentials, falsified information or prohibited representation.
This clause does not make a person responsible for harm caused primarily by 6membership’s own unlawful conduct.
Rights that are not excluded
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability or remedies where exclusion is prohibited by applicable law.
No clause excludes responsibility for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation or another liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Mandatory consumer, privacy and statutory rights remain preserved.
Indirect and unforeseeable loss
To the extent permitted by applicable law, 6membership is not responsible for an indirect, remote or unforeseeable loss that was not reasonably caused by a breach of an applicable duty.
A member should not make non-refundable travel, venue, accommodation, business or publicity commitments based only on an unconfirmed opportunity or request.
Events outside reasonable control
6membership may be delayed or prevented from performing an affected obligation because of events outside reasonable control, including severe infrastructure failure, payment-network outage, cyberattack, public emergency, government restriction, labour disruption, natural disaster, war, civil unrest, epidemic or failure of a critical third-party service.
Reasonable steps will be taken to reduce disruption and resume affected operations where possible.
Applicable law and dispute handling
The governing framework and preservation of mandatory local rights.
Primary governing law
These Terms are governed primarily by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
This choice does not remove mandatory rights that applicable law grants to a consumer or data subject in another jurisdiction and does not permit a party to avoid a regulator’s lawful authority.
Good-faith resolution
Before commencing formal proceedings, the parties should ordinarily attempt to resolve the dispute through the applicable complaint or appeal process, unless urgent relief, legal limitation periods or mandatory law make that inappropriate.
Courts and authorities
Subject to mandatory jurisdiction rules, disputes may be brought before a court of competent jurisdiction in Nigeria.
Nothing prevents a person from making a lawful complaint to an applicable consumer, privacy, financial, law-enforcement or regulatory authority.
Policy updates, severability and acceptance
How these Terms change and how acceptance is recorded.
Changes to these Terms
6membership may update these Terms to reflect legal, regulatory, security, technical, operational or membership changes.
Each published version will display a version number, last-updated date, effective date and summary of material changes.
Where a material change requires renewed acceptance, the affected applicant or member may be required to accept the updated version before continuing an affected activity.
Severability
Where a clause is found invalid or unenforceable, it should be interpreted or limited to the minimum extent necessary where law permits.
The remaining clauses continue to apply unless the invalid clause is so fundamental that the agreement cannot reasonably continue.
No automatic waiver
A delay in enforcing a right does not automatically waive that right.
A waiver must be clear and applies only to the matter for which it is given.
Acceptance evidence
Where acceptance is required, 6membership may record the policy version, wording presented, date and time, application reference, registered email, consent method and relevant technical evidence.
Acceptance through an application checkbox or another approved electronic process has the meaning described in the Electronic Communications Consent.
Complete policy framework
These Terms, the applicable tier description, the approval notice, incorporated policies and any separate written agreement constitute the relevant membership framework.
A social-media post, verbal statement, unauthorised message or unofficial screenshot does not amend the framework.
Contact points
Application records, eligibility questions and requests for more information.
Membership records, verification issues and administrative corrections.
General complaints, appeals and administrative support enquiries.
Formal legal notices and authorised legal correspondence.
